Therapy

How does Therapy work?

As a therapist, I will work with you to help you improve your mental health and wellbeing. Before our first therapy session, I offer a complimentary 30 minute start-up consultation to decide if we have the 'right chemistry' to work together and to confirm that therapy is appropriate. This can be either in-person or online to suit your preferences.

Sometimes it's easier to talk to a professional than family or friends. During therapy, I listen to you and we work together to find answers to your problems - in private, confidentially and without judgement.

Each therapy session is 1-2-1 and lasts approximately 60 minutes. They'll usually be completed in-person but you might prefer to work together via Zoom, Skype, FaceTime etc or even just over the telephone. You will have the time and space to think , talk, consider options, make choices and take action.
It's an opportunity to look at your problems in a different way with someone who will respect you, listen to your experiences and understand your needs.

Will therapy fix my problems?

The main aim of therapy is to help you feel better. We'll work together to:

  • Let Go - of negative emotions such as Anger, Sadness, Fear, Hurt and Guilt.

  • Take Action - to address anxiety, build confidence, motivation, energy and a sense of purpose.

  • Move Forward - create a positive future with a strong sense of purpose through personal goals, actions and outcomes.

Therapy can be helpful for lots of things including: depression, anxiety, bereavement, anger management, an eating disorder, a phobia, an addiction, dealing with long-term health conditions or past abuse.

How long would we work together?

Most clients need several sessions over a period of several months in order to achieve strong and sustainable results - especially when they need support across a wide range of challenges. The number of sessions are discussed and agreed between us, based on your needs. I always work one session at a time and you will only be committed to the next agreed session. You will be able to stop coaching at any time but, usually we will both know when you have fully addressed issues that were troubling you and achieved the outcomes you want.

Do you also offer hypnotherapy?

Yes. Once you've started therapy, if we agree that it could be beneficial to you, we have the option to use hypnotherapy to treat your condition(s) and build stronger personal attributes, such as confidence and motivation. You're fully in control of your actions during hypnotherapy and only instil new attributes that you want to have.

How much does therapy cost?

Once we agree to start working together, I charge £60 per 1 hour session.  My therapy sessions can be managed to fit most budgets. The key question for you as a prospective client is how much do you value the service and do you want to invest in yourself?
